Bowtie Pesto Pasta with Zucchini and Peas: super easy & delicious recipe using bowtie/farfalle pasta with roasted zucchini, peas in pesto sauce. This bowtie pesto pasta can be served hot or cold and is perfect for a weeknight meal or even a lazy weekend brunch. Can also be served as a salad.
When we in the mood to eat something delicious, but no-one has the energy to go that extra mile….you get my point, Right!
That’s when we both agree (along with friends or family if anyone’s home), that let’s make this under 25 minutes Quick Bowtie Pesto Pasta with Zucchini and Peas together.
Yup, nothing like cooking together especially when you both are feeling extremely lazy. So he cuts the veggies and I saute them 🙂
First of all, there’s Pesto involved, the regular basil pesto (can be homemade or store-bought), both tastes equally good.
Second, the moment you saute zucchini+peas with pesto, the flavors are elevated to a new magical level. If you have not tried this combination, you are definitely missing on something.
Third, just the fact that something so simple can literally be similar or even better than a restaurant recipe.
Fourth, with just 5 basic ingredients, you can literally feed a crowd. Yup, this recipe can be easily multiplied.
Fifth, I just cannot let go of the summer season without this green goddess pasta recipe (seriously everything is green except the pasta).
So call it Pesto Pasta with Zucchini or Pesto Pasta with Peas or Simply Pesto Pasta, it tastes amazing!!
So, what are you waiting for, go ahead and grab these ingredients and let’s get started with our easy-peasy recipe:

Also, one thing that I do many times is that I keep about 1-2 cups of pasta always cooked in the fridge. This, my friend, is the key to even quicker past recipes.
So, you get 100 points for guessing that it is bowtie pasta these days and that practically reduced the cooking time of this dish to 10 minutes.
Also, I looooove Bowtie Pasta or as many of them you call them ‘Farfalle Pasta‘.
They are so super cute and these days they have my extra attention … don’t tell me you haven’t eaten pasta straight out of the boiling pot 😉
There is no right or wrong way to make this recipe and this is how we love it.
Super easy and extremely delicious.
We love eating this Bowtie Pesto Pasta with Zucchini and Peas as soon as it’s made, slightly warm. But I also make enough to carry on to the next meal.
It makes a great Cold Salad / Work Lunch or a Picnic / Patio meal too and I usually serve it with a chilled glass of white wine.
What Can be Added to this Recipe:
I have tried all of these combinations and they all taste amazing.
Go ahead and enjoy this pasta with your loved ones and have a great weekend ahead.

Usually my family avoids zucchini and peas like the plague. Wish I had this recipe before because no one complained about them this time!

This is a favourite with the kids and so easy to put together on a busy night! It has become a repeat recipe around here for swim class night and the kids are always happy to pile on the cheese and gobble it up
