As soon as February starts, all I can think is desserts (hint …. Valentines) but keeping those thoughts aside, here I’m with a super quick and healthy ‘Sweet Spicy Ground Turkey Stir Fry’ .

It’s light, refreshing and makes for a perfect weeknight meal and the best part, it can be used as filling in so many other dishes.

We can add it in wraps, sandwiches, burger, pasta, pizza, omelet, fried rice ….. phew the combination is endless.

Sweet Spicy Ground Turkey Stir Fry

Ingredients for Sweet Spicy Ground Turkey Stir Fry

  • 2 Cups Ground Turkey
  • 1 Large Onion – thinly chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 1 Cup Frozen Peas
  • 1 Large Green Bell Pepper (Capsicum) – thinly chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Chili Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp White Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 Tsp Salt – use as per taste
  • 1/8 Tsp Black Pepper Powder

As mentioned above, this stir fry is using sweet-spicy flavors yet like most of my recipes, the flavors can be customized as per your taste. 

If you like more spicy, add more of the chili sauce and if you like more sweet increase the sweetener. You can even add or remove any of the mentioned veggies.

Also, I’m mentioning replacement or alternate options for a couple of listed ingredients.

How to make Sweet Spicy Ground Turkey Stir Fry:

It’s an easy recipe and we donot need any special pots/pans or even cooking medium.

We just need a basic pan/pot/skillet or even a wok will do.

  1. Start by heating 3 tbsp oil in a large skillet (over medium flame).
  2. Add onion, ginger+garlic paste, and stir-fry for a minute.
  3. Add peas and saute for another minute over medium flame (saute 1 minute longer if using fresh peas as they take longer to cook). Stir Fry Ground Turkey
  4. Now, add the ground turkey, salt, black pepper powder and stir fry for 3 minutes over low flames.
  5. Add chili paste, soy sauce, vinegar, honey and stir fry on low heat.

  8. Turn off the heat and transfer to a serving bowl.
  9. Add chopped Cilantro and serve fresh.

Soy Sauce – you can use regular, low sodium or even Tamari if need be

Honey – you can use any sweetener of choice
