Instant Mango Peda Ingredients:

To make this delicious dessert recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Mango Pulp (fresh or canned)
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Milk Powder
  • Yellow Food Color (optional)
  • Ghee (clarified butter)
  • Cardamom Powder
  • Chopped Pistachios – for garnish (optional)
  • Desiccated Coconut – for garnish (optional)

NOTES:

Mango Pulp: While canned mango pulp works well, using fresh, ripe mangoes will give your peda a more vibrant and authentic flavor.

Milk Powder: I always use sugar-free milk powder, you can use either and adjust sweetness accordingly.

Yellow Food Color: this is optional, but gives a nice, rich color to the peda. Especially if you are making them for a party or festival, the bright yellow color makes it extra special.

Ghee: use store-bought or homemade ghee or you can even use unsweetened butter.

Garnish: is upto you, I love the combination of pistachios with mango, but you can use any nuts of choice.

Easy Microwave Mango Peda Recipe using Milk Powder

How to Make Instant Microwave Indian Mango Fudge:

Before you begin, ensure you have all the ingredients measured and ready.

If you’re using fresh mangoes, peel and puree them to make them pulp. If you’re using canned mango pulp, stir it to ensure it’s smooth.

We divide the steps into 3 Sub-Headings:

Mixing the Ingredients:

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mango pulp, sweetened condensed milk, milk powder, cardamom powder and ghee. Mix well to ensure all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Microwaving the Ingredients or Cooking it in Microwave:

Place the bowl in the microwave and cook on high for 4 minutes (stop and stir every 2 minutes).

After 4 minutes, remove the bowl and stir the mixture thoroughly. This step ensures that the ingredients cook evenly and prevents any burning.

Return the bowl to the microwave and cook for an additional 3 minutes (stirring at 2 minutes).

After this, remove the bowl and stir the mixture again. At this stage, you should notice the mixture would have thickened to a dough-like consistency.

If it hasn’t, you can microwave it in 30-second intervals until you achieve the desired consistency.

Making or Shaping the Pedas & Garnish:

Allow the mixture to cool slightly until it is comfortable to handle.

Grease your hands with a little ghee and take small portions of the mixture to form smooth, round pedas.

You can shape them into discs or any other shape you prefer.

Press a few chopped pistachios and desiccated coconut onto the top of each peda for an extra touch of flavor and crunch.

If desired, you can also sprinkle a bit of cardamom powder on top for added aroma.
