Cherry Vanilla Moon Milk: quick, soothing, and delicious Pink Moon Milk recipe using tart cherry juice, vanilla, and almond milk. It’s a perfect drink for a night or even a light breakfast or post-yoga. Extremely relaxing and rejuvenating.
Moon Milk is nothing but a flavored hot/warm milk that we drink before going off to sleep.
Many of such drinks are flavored with good for your fresh or dried spices, flowers, or juice, hence resulting in a delicious, relaxing, and nutritious drink.
This one is flavored using ‘Tart Cherry Juice + Vanilla’, hence the name, and of course the gorgeous pink color is another added advantage of this one 🙂
My recipe is extremely simple and easily modifiable (as per ingredients you have/as per taste):
I’m using vanilla flavored milk, but you can use plain milk and add 4-5 drops of pure vanilla essence or extract.
If you are using vanilla beans, then just add a tiny scoop or just 1/2 pod of vanilla.
Cherry Vanilla Pink Moon Milk Recipe Ingredients
The process is simple but with one IMPORTANT STEP and that is NOT to Cook Cherry Juice + Milk Together as it will curdle.
Hence, always mix the tart cherry juice when the boiled milk is cool.
As I had mentioned in the beginning, Moon Milk is extremely refreshing, calming, and rich in nutrients (depending on added ingredients).
I wanted to keep the recipe extremely easy and doable (not complex ingredients) however if you are inclined towards Ayurvedic / Spices / Healing ingredients and have some of them handy, you can use any of these here:
Turmeric Powder
Cloves (whole or powder)
Cardamom (whole or powder)
Star Anise (whole)
Cinnamon Sticks
Lavander (dry/fresh or drops)
Hibiscus (dry/fresh or drops)
Ashwagandha Powder
Chamomile Powder or Tea (caffeine-free for moon milk)
Beetroot (dry/fresh)
Collagen Powder
Honey (for non-vegans)
And there are many more ingredients that can be added or substituted as per taste.
