Ingredients for our Easy Restaurant Style Chicken Fried Rice Recipe:

Chicken: I usually recommend boneless, bite-size pieces for this quick mix.

Rice: the golden rule for any Fried Rice recipe is to use leftover, thick rice (we’ll discuss below) but you can use fresh or any kind of rice that’s available with you.

Mix of Seasonal Veggies: you can pick any veggies your family like. I use fresh vegetables but frozen vegetables are fine too.

Egg: It adds so much flavor and creaminess to this delicious dish.

Spicy Chinese Sauce Mix: it’s a mix of 3 extremely common Chinese sauces and you can make this mix and keep for later use too.

This is also popularly known as “Restaurant Style Fried Rice”, “Stir Fried Chicken-Rice” or even “Chinese Fried Rice”.

Process to Make the Chicken Fried Rice:

Once you have all the listed ingredients, the process is quick and the dish is ready in 10-12 minutes.

You just saute the Chicken First (as it takes the longest to cook among all the ingredients).

Then you cook eggs, veggies, and Chinese sauce together.

The rice gets added the last as you DONOT want to over mix the rice.

Give everything a final mix or toss and the dish is ready.

To make things even more simple, I like to do what’s called a ‘Pan-to-Table’ style here.

I take the wok to the dining table (remember to keep a thick cover or wooden coaster) to prevent hot wok transferring any heat on the table.

This not only makes this a One-Pot Dish but less mess to clean too 😉

Here are some Pro Tips to Make this Easy Chicken Fried Rice Recipe:

Always cook this dish in a wok or deep pan (light base).

Always start by cooking the chicken first as the juices from leftover chicken would enhance the flavors of the veggies further.

Have everything prepped nearby as this prevents overcooking or burning ingredients.

Cut all the vegetables in a similar small size. This cooks the veggies evenly.

Leave the veggies slightly undone for that Extra Crunch.

Sprinkle some Lime Juice to retain the bright colors of the veggies even while cooking.

Cook the Egg separately (scramble) and then start cooking the veggies.

You can Meal-Prep this recipe too and cook veggies, chicken, egg, and rice separately.
