Persian Love Brownies: chocolate brownie with rose, pistachio and cardamom cream cheese frosting is exotic, delicious and a dessert fit to sweep you/your loved one of the feet. Also known as Rosewater Brownies
Move over Red Velvet Brownies, as these Persian Love Brownies – Rosewater Chocolate Brownies are here to Rule your Heart & Soul!
Oh the gorgeousness itself is so alluring that the first thought always in our mind is ‘Are you sure you want to cut it’?
The delicate flavors of rosewater and cardamom give the cream cheese frosting such a divine taste, that it just makes you want to eat more and more of it.First thing First, Why Persian Love Brownies?
Now, I could have added the rose, pistachio, and cardamom to the brownies BUT adding it to our cream cheese frosting takes this cake to another layer of DELICIOUSNESS !!
Also, what’s better than Chocolate + Roses on a Valentines Day? Red Wine (Seriously, this combination and you have achieved Perfection)
Ingredients for the Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 Cream Cheese Frosting (8oz) – room temperature
2 Tbsp Powdered Sugar – you can use less or more as per taste
1 Tbsp Dry Rose Petals
3 Tbsp Chopped Pistachio
2 Cardamom Pods – crushed
1 Tbsp Milk – cold
Persian Chocolate Brownies Ingredients
And I would have not thought of any other Red Wine than our Fav C.K Mondavi and Family “Red Blends”
In their own words:
The Red Blend is “an expression of five red varieties capturing the best of each vintage”. It has :
The backbone of Cabernet Sauvignon.
The finesse of Merlot
The structure of Petit Verdot
The floral essence of Cabernet Franc
The boldness of Malbec.
This full-bodied wine offers flavors of black cherries and plums and ends in a soft, balanced finish.
And what better Pairing with our Rose, Pistachio Brownies than this wine.
Now, let’s get started with the recipe which is extremely easy, 5-6 basic ingredients for the brownie.
The frosting is even simpler and I’m sharing How you could get the:
First, you need Room Temperature Cream Cheese.
Second, you need Powdered Sugar
A Good Vanilla Extract (pure is always best)
1 Tbsp of Milk (Yep)
Mix these together and you would get the Glossiest and Spreadable cream cheese frosting.
(This is also one of the most asked questions from my friends, How does your frosting always spreads better 😉 …well, now you know it.
Since the brownies are fudgy, I’m doing a light coating with frosting. But if you Looooove frosting, add more 🙂
Once frosted, I’d suggest keeping the brownies in the fridge (before cutting them). This sets them properly and they cut perfectly.
But, if you are like me, who just CANNOT Wait, please frost and sprinkle rose, cardamom, and pistachio on top.
Cut the brownies (the knife will stick a little as everything will be moist), but hey, there’s no stopping a good taste test 😉
So, here’s a tiny piece of our Persian Love Brownies that I’m taste testing before sharing with Bae in the evening (what all we do in the name of Love …. lol)
Go ahead, make this brownie ASAP and Literally become the BEST Valentines Ever!
This last note is Especially for my friends who want to make this but still don’t want to make it from scratch.
Get a nice brownie mix (usually 2-3 ingredients needed) and the rest follow the steps for cream cheese frosting.
Seriously, a lot of our Bachelor friends have made this for their respective +Ones and they are Swept off the feet everytime!
Also, Grab the bottle of C.K Mondavi and Family “Red Blends” share with your Special One 🙂

Well, I’m certainly with you — cakes just don’t do it for me. Now, brownies are a different story. I love the different flavors you include with them and I am a huge fan of pistachio. I know that frosting would be a hit with my Hubby! Oh, and I have to add – so would the wine.
