Copycat Cheesecake Factory’s Cilantro Sauce

Can you get enough of those Cheesecake Factory avocado eggrolls with cilantro sauce?

OMG, I just can’t – even after devouring them, I still want to keep going on….they are that delicious!

And what I love most is their ‘Cilantro Sauce‘ which is a sweet n tangy with all things good in it.

I’ve looked at many stores for a similar product but haven’t come across anything similar.

So decided to make myself a big batch Copycat Cheesecake Factory’s Cilantro Sauce (don’t worry, this recipe has been made endless times).

Ingredients for the Copycat Cheesecake Factory’s Cilantro Sauce:

  • Cilantro Leaves – fresh is always preferred
  • Garlic Cloves
  • Tamarind Paste – you can use thick tamarind sauce too
  • White Vinegar
  • Sweetener of Choice – I prefer honey, but you can use maple syrup if vegan
  • Seasoning – cumin powder, salt, and chili powder

How to Make Copycat Cheesecake Factory’s Cilantro Sauce:

Making this luxuriously thick and delicious sauce cannot get easier than this.

  • Simply add all the ingredients in a blender or food processor.
  • Pulse to form a smooth, thick consistency.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl or store if needed for later.

Every time I make a huge batch thinking it would last us at least a month.

But I don’t know who eats it as it magically disappears in 10-12 days … lol, cause we literally slather it with almost all savory snacks.

Copycat Cheesecake Factory's Cilantro Sauce

It’s so easy that you won’t believe that you never tried making at home.

I’m telling you, make a big batch as if you’re like me (who loves chutneys/sauce).

Then you’d find yourself having it on all savory food + salads + fried food + Oh my, I’m literally drooling talking about it šŸ˜‰

So, go ahead, make it and enjoy!

Can this sauce be frozen? I have a huge batch of fresh cilantro Iā€™d like to try this.

    • Molly Kumar September 20, 2018 (6:54 pm)

Hi Debra, Yes, it can absolutely be frozen. I have frozen the sauce in an ice-tray. I’ll add the freezing instruction in the post shortly. Thanks, Molly

Can you substitute anything for tamarind paste? Or where can you get it?

    • Molly Kumar August 29, 2018 (11:48 pm)

Hi Lisa, The ‘Tamarind Paste’ cannot be substituted as the sauce will not taste the same then. You can get the Tamarind Paste or even tamarind sauce at any Indian store or Asian stores. Thanks

Sounds great! But I never tried cheese cake factory sauce though. I think this will be perfect for salad dressing too:)

  • Tina Dawson April 27, 2016 (7:38 pm)

Yaay for Cilantro! My family is very intense about cilantro, as in, we don’t treat it as a garnish, rather as an ingredient itself. Everything we make has to be smothered in fresh coriander, otherwise it’s just not ready to be served!

    • Molly Kumar April 29, 2016 (2:44 am)

Hehehehhe – that’s so us too as in most of our Indian recipes have to be smothered with fresh cilantro or some sort of cilantro sauce with meal just makes a perfect combination. Thanks for visiting Tina šŸ™‚

  • Camilla April 27, 2016 (7:35 pm)

  • Kylee @ Kylee Cooks April 27, 2016 (4:18 pm)

I LOVE the cheesecake factory, and get the eggrolls too! We also like the Thai Lettuce Wraps, and I think this sauce is in that too. It’s my favorite. Thanks for making a copycat recipe so we can have it at home!

    • Molly Kumar April 28, 2016 (5:55 pm)

Oh yes, How can I forget the Thai Lettuce Wraps – they are ‘D’ fav šŸ˜‰ I’m glad you’re gonna make the sauce – Hugs Molly
