Peri Peri Mushroom Garlic Bread Ingredients:
To make this irresistible bread, you’ll need a few key ingredients, each one bringing something special to the table, creating layers of flavor that are delicious and aromatic.
Here’s a quick look at what you’ll need:
• Mushrooms: Fresh button or cremini mushrooms work best for this recipe. They’re mild, and tender, and absorb seasoning beautifully.
• Bread: Sourdough or French bread works best for garlic bread as it becomes crispy and holds up well with toppings.
• Peri Peri Seasoning: This is the star ingredient! Use a store-bought sauce or make it at home using a blend of red chilies, garlic, lemon, and spices.
• Garlic: Freshly minced garlic infuses the bread with a classic flavor that pairs well with peri-peri spiciness.
• Butter or Olive Oil: Adds moisture and helps toast the bread. You can use it as per your choice.
• Mayo: you can use any mayo of choice (vegan or vegetarian) add as per choice or omit
• Cheese: Add mozzarella, cheddar, or your favorite blends of cheese for a gooey finish.
• Cilantro (coriander): Fresh parsley or cilantro (coriander) gives the garlic bread a touch of color and freshness.
• Salt: Adjust as needed.
• Chili Flakes: add as per choice or omit

4. Add in salt, chili flakes, peri-peri seasoning, and cilantro, stirring to coat the mushrooms evenly. Season with salt and pepper and cook until the sauce reduces slightly.
5. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Mushroom Garlic Spread

Step 4: Make the Bread:
I’m listing all 3 ways to make this bread using your choice of method:
A. Oven Bake the Mushroom Garlic Bread
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Place the prepared bread and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are crispy golden and the cheese, has melted and bubbly.
3. Remove from pan to a hard surface and let it cool for 2 minutes.

B. Air Fryer Peri Peri Mushroom Garlic Bread

Tips for Perfect Peri Peri Mushroom Garlic Bread
For the best results, follow these tips:
1. Choose Fresh Ingredients: Fresh mushrooms and garlic enhance the flavor. Avoid canned mushrooms as they don’t have the same texture.
2. Adjust Spice Levels: If you want a milder flavor, use less peri-peri seasoning or sauce or add a splash of cream to the mushrooms to balance the heat.
3. Use Sturdy Bread: Sourdough or French bread is ideal because it holds up well and becomes crispy, but you can also use ‘Pav buns / Indian dinner rolls’ as I’m using here.
4. Experiment with Cheese: Mozzarella, cheddar, or gouda adds a delicious creamy element. You can skip cheese for a dairy-free version.
