Another India’s FAV Winter’s Special Recipe, made with wholesome ingredients, these ladoos offer a perfect blend of health and flavor.
Let’s embark on a journey to create these delightful, guilt-free sweets that are not only easy to make but also rich in essential nutrients.
They are usually made in big batches all through the year and can be enjoyed as is or along with hot chai or coffee.
Perfect as take-home gifts and a favorite among Indians traveling abroad.
My India trips would be incomplete without them and these handmade ladoos were the first thing mom always packed for me.
Gather the following wholesome ingredients for your atta ladoos:
Atta (Whole Wheat Flour) – you can use fine or slightly coarse ground flour.
Ghee (Clarified Butter) – you have to use plain ghee (no flavored ghee). You can use any lighter oil or a mix of ghee with plain lighter oil.
Sugar – we need powdered sugar but not icing sugar. You can also use jaggery or bura (brown sugar) or even sugar substitutes like stevia or monkfruit instead of white crystal sugar.
Cardamom Powder – this gives it a very earthy, sweet and slightly smoky flavor.
Mixed Nuts – I’m using a mix of nuts like cashews, almonds, raisins, makhana (foxnut), and chironji. You can use any nut as per choice. The are plain raw nuts that will be roasted or you can use roasted unsalted nuts.
These natural and unprocessed components form the foundation of a nutritious sweet that you can enjoy without compromising on your health.
Feel free to personalize your atta ladoos by incorporating dried fruits, seeds, or even a hint of saffron.
Experimenting with variations allows you to tailor the recipe to your taste preferences while adding an extra layer of nutritional diversity.
Pair these atta ladoos with a cup of herbal tea or enjoy them as a post-workout snack.
Embrace moderation, savor each bite mindfully, and let these treats become a guilt-free part of your balanced lifestyle.
This easy healthy atta ladoo recipe offers a delightful way to satisfy your sweet cravings while prioritizing your health.
