Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Fresh Basil

This week, we are excited to feature the Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Fresh Basil made by us from the ‘Pasta Matchmaker quiz’.

We are a huge pasta lover and it’s such a savior when we are pressed for time yet want to eat something delicious and filling.

But many times I spend more time thinking ‘what’ recipe should I prepare rather than sitting with my bowl of hot yum.

So when I came across the ‘Pasta Matchmaker quiz’, I literally jumped upon it.

The Pasta Matchmaker quiz showcases the flexibility of pasta and inspires us to add pasta to our menus.

It’s designed to give a custom result based on what you’re in mood for or what occasion you are planning – like a weeknight dinner, date night, or a visit from the in-laws.

You can always rely on Golden Grain® to be the ingredient that inspires the perfect dish for whatever the occasion may be.

With all this information, I knew I was in great hands and took the quiz for a weeknight recipe (/date night) using seafood on a cloudy day.

Once, I entered my choices, my result was this Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Fresh Basil which was actually perfect.

As I had recently bought most of these ingredients from Lucky’s (grocery store) and the recipe is done in 20 minutes.

Here’s a glimpse of my recipe ingredients and the instructions are really easy to follow on the pasta maker site.

While I made the pasta as per the package instructions and I also started sauteeing the ‘shrimp and fresh basil’ in a pan as making these two things simultaneous definitely saves up more time.

Once the pasta was cooked and the shrimps were ready, I quickly tossed the two together and that’s it. It was all done.

I prepared the recipe exactly as per the quiz however you can definitely add or remove ingredients as food is all about self-expression.

And when creating meal experiences that reflect us and our family and Golden Grain® pasta is versatile and allows us to be creative.

Infact, D loved the recipe so much as it was so smooth, buttery and so enhanced by the flavors of fresh basil.

So, after trying this super hit recipe, I’m definitely going back to the Pasta Matchmaker quiz for another yummy recipe and the best past – it’s as per my mood and convenience.

Looks like a nice fresh dish. I’ll replace the dried pasta with some fresh pasta (I’m lucky enough to have a market down the street that sells it), but I can’t wait to give this a try. Pasta is a staple in my house, and I always love new ideas. Thanks!
