Christmas Punch - kids - Non Alcoholic

Non-Alcoholic Christmas Punch

During the holiday season especially, there’s an immense amount of pressure to get the best gifts, prepare the best meals…

Then have the best decorations, keep a clean house, prepare for visitors, keep a happy family…the list goes on.

Last weekend marked the first of our many Christmas/New Year brunches or as we call them, foodies get-together at our place (so you can imagine all that pressure).

Kids Christmas Punch recipe

With all that holiday cooking (read luscious, rich and over-the-top recipes), I wanted to make a drink recipe that can be enjoyed by all age groups, something fun… Christmassy!!

Something that brings that spark in your eyes or lights up the lil ones’ faces and I couldn’t think of anything except the Kids Christmas Punch 🙂 (who says adults cannot have it too)

Non Alcoholic Christmas Punch

How to Make Non-Alcoholic Christmas Punch:

So, I quickly made a run for our neighborhood Safeway to buy the ingredients for the drink.

Which is mostly seasonal fruit (keeping our red-green – bright theme) and of course, Minute Maid Orange Juice (located in the refrigerated section of Safeway).

Once, I got everything, I quickly rinsed and thinly sliced the fruits (except the pomegranate) and also made a thin simple syrup to add to the juice.

All these things were then wrapped and stored in the fridge while I cooked and arranged the house.

Once we were ready for the party, I just took a huge jar of mixed orange juice, sliced fruits, simple syrup, ice, and pomegranate.

Pour into the serving glasses and just to make it really fancy, I topped each glass with a dash of cream and a sprig of mint – Voila ~ Kids Christmas Punch – Non-Alcoholic Christmas Punch is Ready!!

Although most of my friends attended the brunch, however, few got busy with last-minute kids stuff (holiday purchases/activities/etc).

We missed them a lot but I would commend them for the great job they’re doing as a parent.

Infact, Minute Maid is running a #doingood campaign to remind parents of all the wonderful things – big and small – they do to make a positive difference in their children’s lives.

Celebrating perfect imperfection for moms and dads everywhere who are, in reality, doing much better than they think.
