Quick Festive Orange Drink (Family Drink) Favorite Holiday drink that’s ready in 5 minutes and enjoyed with the whole family. It tastes crisp and is bursting with the orange flavors. holiday-family-drink-recipeHoliday brunches are filled with so much happiness, love, and excitement and hence this refreshing ‘ Quick Festive Orange Drink (Family Drink) ‘, so that the host (You) can have an equally fun holiday moment. This drink is super easy to make and will definitely make anyone in your party feel special. Also, did I mention it only takes 5 minutes to make… Now that my friend is an absolute Win Win recipe for me as I’m up for anything that is easy to make and tastes delicious.quick-holiday-drink-recipeDuring the holiday season especially, there’s an immense amount of pressure to get the best gifts, prepare the best meals, have the best decorations, keep a clean house, prepare for visitors, keep a happy family…the list goes on. Last weekend marked the first of our many Christmas/New Year brunches or as we call them, foodies get-together at our place (so you can imagine all that pressure). With all that holiday cooking (read luscious, rich and over the top recipes), I wanted to make a drink recipe that can be enjoyed by all age group, something fun….christmassy … something that brings that spark in your eyes or light up the lil one’s faces and I couldn’t think of anything except my Quick Festive Orange Drink (Family Drink) – it just screams ‘ Happy Holidays ‘.festive-family-drink-recipeSo, I quickly made a run for our neighborhood Safeway to buy the ingredients for the drink, which is mostly seasonal fruit (keeping our red-green – bright theme) and off course, Minute Maid Orange Juice (located in the refrigerated section of Safeway). Once, I got everything, I quickly rinsed and thinly sliced the fruits (except pomegranate) and also made a thin simple syrup to add to the juice. All these things were then wrapped and stored in the fridge while I cooked and arranged the house. Once we were ready for the party, I just took a huge jar mixed orange juice, sliced fruits, simple syrup, ice, and pomegranate. Poured into the serving glasses and just to nake it really fancy, I topped each glass with a dash of cream and a sprig of mint – Voila ~ Our Party Drink is Ready!! christmas-family-drink-recipeAlthough most of my friends attended the brunch, however, there were few who got busy with last minute kids stuff (holiday purchases/activities / etc). We missed them a lot but I would really commend them for the great job they’re doing as a parent. Infact, Minute Maid is running a #doingood campaign to remind parents of all the wonderful things – big and small – they do to make a positive difference in their children’s lives. Celebrating perfect imperfection for moms and dads everywhere who are, in reality, doing much better than they think.

Wow! This looks delightful. For my family Oranges always play a part on Christmas or Yule morning, depending on the Holiday we pick to go with gifts in any given year. They represent the hope and light returning to the world after the longest night of the year. I love this drink idea!
