Perfect to celebrate the grilling and BBQ season.I made this super Quick Watermelon Salad with Feta-Mint and Basil or as my friend’s call it ” Watermelon Mint Feta Basil Salad “along with few sandwiches for dinner this week.
And Boy, the whole bowl got over before I could even fill my plate….It was devoured like crazy and my poor lil sandwiches were left feeling lonely on the plate.
I’ve made salad’s before but never a watermelon salad and I really regret it now – This was Fantastically Delicious!
Ingredients for the Watermelon Mint Feta Basil Salad:
Watermelon – bite size
Fresh Mint Leaves
Fresh Basil Leaves
Feta – crumbled
Lemon Juice
Seasoning
The Process to make the Watermelon Mint Feta Basil Salad
We brought 4 Watermelon last week and they had been sitting ideal in our kitchen pantry.
While we kept thinking whether to have it a snack or some Watermelon Cucumber Detox juice (click the link for my recipe) but nothing actually happened till I finally decided to make a salad.
Now, you can simply chop the watermelon and mix mint, basil, feta, seasoning, and serve.
Or if you have few minutes in hand, then you can make this Gourmet looking salad with simply using an ice-cream scoop or any deep round spoon.
It took me 15 minutes to scoop, mix and serve – it was that easy peasy.
Also, as we are heading towards a ‘Memorial Day Weekend’ here in the USA (click the link for more info on it).
So many of us will either travel or spend the weekend with friends and family and now that the summer has finally arrived we also begin the season of Grilling – BBQ’s.
So definitely try this gourmet-looking Quick Watermelon Salad for your upcoming Grill or BBQ party and trust me, they’ll be singing your praise.
The salad is filled with fresh citrus mint flavor that goes so well with any kind of food and even drinks.
I’ve not added any dressing or vinaigrette as the herbs and cheese enhance the melony flavor but I did sprinkle some almonds on top to give it a slightly crunchy feel.
Give this Quick Watermelon Salad a try and be the star of your Weekend or Party Celebrations!

Yum, I love your addition of almonds, I can almost taste it now. Love watermelon in salads, it goes so especially well with feta and mint. Have you ever tried with olive oil and balsamic vinegar? Divine!
